Please bring a tripod! You may be shooting some longer exposures in the forest. A polarizing filter and neutral density filter is also advised.

Your package is fully customizable to suit your preferred length of stay. If you’d like to extend and add more to your vacations, please let us know and we’ll help you build a great itinerary.

Arrival night: check in, phone call to confirm the plans for the next day (may be weather dependent)

Day 1

Leisurely breakfast.

10 a.m. meet your teacher at accommodations for a 1 hour classroom session

11:30 a.m. meet at a pre-arranged location.

3 hours instruction including a lunch break. (Please being your own lunch).

2:30 pm teaching session ends, enjoy the afternoon in the lovely Comox Valley

Evening after dinner – to be arranged based on schedules – teacher will drop by at your accommodation for a 1 hr image review and technique discussion

Day 2

Option 1

Early breakfast

7:30 am meet your teacher at a pre-arranged location for a morning mist/sunrise shoot (weather dependent)

4 hours instruction

Lunch at your accommodation

Instructor returns for 1 hour of photo editing instruction after lunch (Lightroom, Photoshop as needed)

Option 2

Another leisurely breakfast

10 a.m. meet your teacher at your accommodation, review yesterdays images, head out on another photo safari

2 pm, return to accommodations, 1 hour of photo editing instruction

3 pm say goodbye to your teacher, and enjoy some more time on your own exploring the local area.

Canadian Staycations Inc cancellation policy is as follows:



Canadian Staycations very strongly recommends that you purchase travel insurance which will cover trip cancellation. 



Canadian Staycations products are delivered by our third party providers. In the event that you need to cancel your booking, we guarantee to refund all money refunded to Canadian Staycations by the activity and accommodation providers. However, we have no control over third party providers refund policies, some of which do not provide refunds.



In the event that your cancellation is made less than 30 days before your trip Canadian Staycations will refund to you any money refunded to us, however we will retain a $25 handling charge.
